Speaker Bio: Amy Whittenburg, Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union

About Me:
Before becoming the Fraud Investigation Manager with SWACU, I was the Director of Operations overseeing all branches, including the Call Center and eBranch.  I have 30+ years in the financial industry, both front line and back office.  I started as a part-time teller and worked my way up to Director and have worked at both Credit Unions and Banks.  I’ve managed Operations, Call Centers, Branches, Cards, and electronic services such as Wire Transfers and deposits/withdrawals.  Because I’ve seen fraud in so many areas, my transition into the fraud space has helped bridge the gap between Operations and back office and provide SWACU a single point of contact for fraud. 
 
During my time as the Fraud Investigation Manager, I’ve been able to build a community of other Credit Unions and Banks, as well as law enforcement and fraud agencies.  We come together regularly to discuss trends in the industry, new or common scams/fraud, and provide fraud alerts within the community.  I was also a guest speaker at ePay Resources ePay Connect Conference this year. 
 
About SWACU:
Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union is a closed Credit Union, primarily servicing Southwest Airlines, however, we do have other Employee Groups that we service in Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, and HEB, including, recently, the City of Bedford and City of Euless.  We were founded in 1975, have approximately 60,000 members, and just under $1 billion in assets.
